These pages are where you can add your memories of Katanning. They are the stories that don’t normally appear in our history but never-the-less, they are the stories that make up the fabric of what our community has become.
It also where you can share your childhood and school day memories. What you did, where you went, who your friends were and much more. Have you written a story or memoirs?

It is the every-day people like you who make up any community. Their milestone events, their life story, matters. Keep their memories alive for future generations by including those memories here.

OLD PHOTOGRAPHS
Do you or your family have old photographs of Katanning, or perhaps of your parents and grandparents?
In years gone by we relied on printed photographs, both black and white and colour, to preserve our memories. Often, after the passing of loved ones, many of these photos may be stored away, forgotten and often deteriorating.
Today, family photographs and videos are all recorded digitally. They are easier to take and can be stored on your mobile phone, computer or “in the cloud.”
Rather than keeping your old photos stored away gathering dust, or throwing them out, digitise them by scanning them to your computer. Or, if you are not so tech savvy, bring them into Lost Katanning at the Old Railway Station at 67 Austral Terrace in Katanning, and we can scan them for you. There’s no charge if you give us permission to use them on this website or in our Facebook group.
