Katanning is centrally located within the region. This means you can book your accommodation, or park up your caravan, and visit many of the region’s tourist sites. The town has many fine old buildings, many built by Frederick and Charles Piesse. These include the flour mill, F & C Piesse building, King George Hostel, winery, and Kobeelya amongst others. The town also has many fine examples of Federation and Edwardian style homes.
Katanning itself provides visitors with plenty to see and do. Call into the Lost Katanning office on the Old Railway Station at 69 Austral Terrace and pick up pamphlets to help you find your way.
ESCORTED WALKING TOURS
Escorted tours of the Historic CBD are available with a local historian. He can also accompany you on a self-drive tour of the town for a small fee.
