Rovers Football Club
Rovers Football Club was one of three clubs based in Katanning. The other two were Imperials and Wanderers. After the war years the club merged with Imperials to form the now defunct Australs Football Club. In the early days, football was played at either Prosser Oval or the Katanning Show Ground. After the merger of the two clubs, a new ground was developed at what is now Kupara Park.

The Rovers Football Club held its first general meeting of the season on March 23, when an excellent attendance of players, intending players and supporters augured well for the coming season. The election of officers resulted in Mr. B. Baldwin becoming president, Mr. D. Hastie the secretary, and Mr. F. Godfrey, Treasurer. Mr. K. Westgate, a newcomer to the town, has agreed take on coaching and should have the team in excellent shape for the opening matches.
